Ahhh! it's BOOK FAIR TIME again!!! SCARY!

Literally. 

This year's theme is "READING IS SO MUCH FUN, IT GIVES YOU GOOSEBUMPS"

DFT family -- it's here already! One of the most anticipated days of the school year - BOOK FAIR!!

We will be closed all day for set up on Friday 10/1 (so get your books early this week for reading over the weekend) and then we will be open for business starting at 3:00 Tuesday afternoon. That is our family night and we stay open until 7pm!

We will be set up to sell through the end of the day Friday. Tues-Thurs the hours are 7:30-3:30 and Friday we are open 7:30-2:30.

We also really need volunteers during our book fair! Please email Mrs. Williams to sign up - kay_williams@roundrockisd.org

If you can't make it or have family that live elsewhere but want to purchase books -- don't forget we have an online book fair going on! Books are shipped to the school, for free, and delivered to your child's classroom. The online book fair extends for one week past our in-school book fair!!

OUR FAVE AUTHOR back at DFT on Tuesday!!!

Every year we have our favorite author and speaker, PHIL BILDNER, come and visit our 4th graders. Well, he's back!! Tuesday, September 29th, Phil Bildner will come and chat with us about reading, his new books, reading, oh and probably READING!!! 

We honestly can't wait. Check out his website! He has some fun book trailers for his new books, as well as the ones we already love!

SO much to be excited about here in the library!!

We have been SO BUSY here in the library that we haven't even officially started off the blog this school year! Lots going on! Everyone has been busy busy BUSY reading!!!!

Yep, that's right... it's almost Book Fair time!!

We can't wait to see the creative baskets that each class comes up with!!!

Fourth grade students at DFT will get to participate in a writing camp with the award-winning author, Phil Bildner! Phil won the Texas Bluebonnet Award in 2004 for his book, SHOELESS JOE & BLACK BETSY. His book, THE HALLELUJAH FLIGHT also made it onto another year's Bluebonnet List. He has lots of other picture and chapter books that we have in the library. His newest release is THE SOCCER FENCE! Here is a book trailer for that book, made by some 5th grade students at another Round Rock elementary school!
